Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Thursday 29 March – Australia to Miami
Depart locally from Australian Capital Cities on your economy class flight to Miami via LA. On arrival at Miami Airport you will be transferred by coach to your hotel. This evening our CSI: Miami welcome party and baggy green presentation will be held at the hotel.

Day 2 Friday 30 March – Miami
Today we will enjoy a guided tour of the Magic City, as Miami is known. An incredible place, highlights include Miami Beach, Little Havana, Coconut Grove, Parrot Jungle and the Miami Seaquarium.

Day 3 Saturday 31 March – Miami
Today we will play our first cricket match against a local Florida team. Lining up in the green and gold for the first time while listening to the national anthem is an awesome experience and one that you will never forget. After the match we will enjoy the world famous Miami nightlife!

Day 4 Sunday 1 April – Miami
Today is a rest day to either rest & recover, or do some additional sightseeing. A great way to spend a lazy Sunday in sunny Miami. Options include the Art Deco District in South Beach, famous for its beaches, historical buildings, and shopping.

Day 5 Monday 2 April – Miami to Barbados
Up early this morning to catch our flight from Miami to Barbados. On arrival in Barbados you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Barbados abounds with exotic locations and exciting history and its extensive variety of culture, sports and activities make it the pearl of the Caribbean island world.

Day 6 Tuesday 3 April – Barbados
Today we will conduct our first AFL junior coaching clinic for the local kids, an awesome experience! This will be the first time Aussie Rules has been played in the West Indies, so it is your chance to be a part of history.
In the afternoon we will board our awesome Pirate Ship, complete with skull & crossbones, for an awesome cruise, including a BBQ lunch, walking the plank, snorkeling and swimming. A real highlight of the tour, you arrrrrre guaranteed, me hearties, to have a great time!

Day 7 Wednesday 4 April – Barbados
Today we will enjoy a guided tour of Barbados. The pirates of the Caribbean once used Barbados as a base and there are castles, houses and buildings dating back several hundred years, giving you the chance to experience the cultural significance of the island. Highlights include Harrison’s Cave, Baobab Tree, Jacobean Mansions, Morgan Lewis Mill and Cannon Galore.

Day 8 Thursday 5 April – Barbados
Today we will conduct our second AFL junior coaching clinic, followed by the first ever match of Aussie Rules in the West Indies! Afterwards we will donate a heap of junior footballs (shh, don’t tell them, it’s a surprise) to the kids, maybe one day we will see the first Joel Garner or Viv Richards playing in the AFL!
In the afternoon we will play our first Convicts Beach Cricket match against fellow Aussies who are also here for the Test, lots of fun and a good workout before tomorrow’s game.

Day 9 Friday 6 April – Barbados
Today we will play our second cricket match against the Isolation Cavaliers Cricket Club. The match will be played in a competitive but friendly spirit – so you don’t need to stress about four Malcolm Marshalls steaming in as you quake your boots! After the match we will enjoy a few beers with our new friends.

Day 10 – 14 Saturday 7 April – Wednesday 11 April – Barbados Test Match
Experience the carnival atmosphere of the Bridgetown Test Match! What better way to relax and enjoy the sound of leather on willow than sitting in the warm Caribbean sun, sipping cold beer in a ground where true legends of Cricket were born – Sir Frank Worrell, Everton Weekes, Sir Clyde Walcott and the greatest all-rounder of all time, Sir Garfield Sobers.
On one of the nights after the cricket we will have a beach party with a live band, dinner and drinks.

Day 15 Thursday 12 April – Barbados to Australia
All good things must come to an end and unfortunately Convicts tours are no exception. You will depart Barbados with a bag full of great memories to join your connecting flight back to Australia.
